As part of the National Transformation Plan 2020-2030, Saudi Arabia aims to deploy highspeed mobile broadband services in the country and thus was the first country in the MENA region to auction mobile spectrum allocating 700 MHz and 1800 MHz spectrum among three mobile operators STC, Mobily and Zain as well as GO Telecom, which also resulted in substantial increase in access to 4G.
