    Strain-wave gearing is a type of precision motion control mechanism used in various applications, including robotics, aerospace, and industrial automation. It operates based on the principle of elastic deformation to achieve high gear reduction ratios with excellent precision and compact size.
    The main components of a strain-wave gear system include a circular spline, a flex spline, and a wave generator. The circular spline is a rigid ring with internal teeth, while the flex spline is a thin, flexible cup-shaped component with external teeth. The wave generator is a mechanism that applies a cyclical force to deform the flex spline, causing it to mesh with the teeth of the circular spline.
    As the wave generator rotates, it creates a "wave" of deformation in the flex spline, causing it to engage and disengage with the circular spline teeth. This interaction results in an elliptical motion of the flex spline relative to the circular spline, driving the output shaft with precise speed and torque control.
